Natural Health

I was introduced to natural health at a young age. My parents, as most parents of that era, very rarely bought fast foods. In fact, the name “Fast Foods” hadn’t even been heard of then. Fish and chips wrapped up in newspaper was something we might have occasionaly on a Friday.

My dad was a keen gardener and always had a vegetable garden, as well as flower gardens and a herb garden. He used compost on the gardens, and everything he grew was strong and healthy. The flavour of the food was pretty amazing, when compared with the shop bought fresh fruit and vegies we buy now. We had chooks, which meant fresh eggs. No chemicals for them, they were fed well, and the eggs tasted good.

We only had chicken at Christmas time, and meat the rest of the year. When I bought a biodynamic chicken a few years ago, it brought back memories of when I was young and lovely Christmas dinners of chicken and turkey. So much flavour!

Natural health is the only way to go. Natural foods, unprocessed, might mean more work but it sure is worth it.
